My daughters pony has been diagnosed with a thickened uterus so the vet thinks maybe she has been in season for a while. Anyway she has finished her first 10 days of regumate today but she is still a loon. She **** herslef yesterday because the other two ponies were led through a gap in the hedge before her and she nearly broke my daughters foot. She is kicking out at the other ponies if they even look at her etc. How long does it take for a difference to be seen. She is now only being handled by me but I am getting worried that she may have to go back to her owner if things don't change soon cause she is sometimes verging on dangerous. :(:(

Hi there, my vet said it should make a difference in 1-3 days when I rang concerned that my mate had come in to season on day 5 of regumate :( hoping it kicks in soon! Vet has advised me to keep going with it and keep a diary of how she is. my mare is tight in her back from coming in to season so vet has asked Physio to come out and see her next week.

Sorry I'm not much help but I feel ur pain and hope the regumate kicks in soon! X

Shes already had her ovaries scanned as this was my first thought due to her acting very much like my old mare that had cystic ovaries.
They were fine the only abnormalitie she could find was that her uterus was tough and thickened not soft and squidgy like it should be
