Regumate

Hi, I have had my mare on Regumate since the spring for behavioral problems mainly serious spooking, and I am thinking about taking her off it,as I'm not too sure about its benefits. I would appreciate views on this subject, also does anyone know how long after stopping that I can expect her to come in to season?

We had Dolly on Regumate for 3 weeks to sort out behaviour problems. It worked miracles! The vet said to expect her to come into season within 10 days after stopping the regumate. She also said the season may be a big one!! However, Dolly had to be different and didnt come into season for months. But behaviour problems are no more, so that's all that matters!

Im slightly confused as to why you have been prescribed regumate when your major issue is spooking.

Can someone enlighten me.

My mare always used to come on 5 days after finishing the regumate. I only ever used it mid feb to mid sept.

My mare usually comes into season about 4 days after it has been stopped.
