Rehoming assistance dogs

I got this on my FB feed today. I know people often look for rehome opportunities, and I imagine these dogs would be nice and easy.

When I was a kid we rehomed a Guide Dog and she was lovely, very loyal and a very precious girl.

When we lost our old dog last year I applied to the Guide Dogs; they took ages getting back to me, and that was only to acknowledge my application, by which time we'd found another (rescue) dog.

One of my work colleagues has an ex guide dog.

She was retired when she decided that each time she took her person out, she would take them to the butchers and refuse to move! Lol!

We have an ex guide dog. He got too excitable!
