Does anybody have any views on whether it is better from the dogs point of view for the new owner of an adult dog to collect it from it's old home, or the current owners to deliver it to it's new home? Assuming that there's a choice in the matter, and it is the dogs first meeting with its new owner.

If so can you give reasons (-makes it sound like an exam!)

Ermmm i would htink current owners drop off if the dog is happy where it is. that way they are trusting the owners to take them to a safe place. For them to then leave them there..... dunno I guess its the best way for hte dog to see them leave them rather than be taken away...... does that make sense?!

We've always collected them, but it has been elderly owners giving them up and so travel was harder for them. I just wondered if there was a general consensus on it.
