My daughter has a yr old patterdale x lakeland, who although is lovely in the house and with people is a total working dog with very strong instincts. He was bought for her by a bf and she has now decided that she can't offer him the home he needs (pref working) as she is at uni. Does anyone have any ideas if and where she could rehome him. (I've posted this in the dog section too)

Patterdales are killing machines and very rarely make good "pets". Why not contact your local Hunt Kennels and ask if any of "the Terrier Boys" would like to have him? That way the dog would be very well looked after and kept busy, busy, busy.

Oh shame, you might just be too far away. We are looking to replace our old terrier.
My OH is a huntsman so would be at hunt kennels.
How far would you travel if we could meet part way? I'm currently in Surrey....
