I said yes, but it wasn't my horse it was a friends, when she bought him he had a really bad head shaking problem and very hot headed so she had teeth/tack checked and also a back lady but tack and teeth were fine and back person wasn't very good. She had several Reiki sessions done and it worked wonders. It was brilliant to watch! All his hairs were standing on end.. really weird but it worked!!

I am a reiki master and have had really good results with reiki on horses and other animals. Most find it really relaxing and even really stressy types almost nod off.
I love it and the animals love it.

Im a bit sceptical about "things" like Reiki but when Bailey was really poorly he had a couple oof sessions a week as I was talked into it by another livery. I have no idea what it does/ how it works etc but he was a different horse after a session

I would use it again in the same situation I think

One of our rescues recently had a Reiki session. To be put politely i am open minded. Thought it can't harm.
The reult - a huge change in the horse. Another result - the first time i have been pain free in 18 years and it was the horse being treated!
I am now trying to get the funds together to learn.
I am aparantly very sensitive to it. I felt a strange pulling sensation, stronger in certain parts.
Amazeing!!!!

How do you train to be a Reiki Master? Is it scienific at all? Genuine Questions, not sarcasm.

It is done by attunement, a master teacher attunes you so that you can channel the energy through your body, not scientific at all but if you recieve Reiki you usually have a physical feeling that something is happening. I am another master but tend only to treat animals these days. I have had some brilliant results with horses, especially abcesses which seem to respond very well. If you watch a horse being treated they will generally shuffle around a bit at first and then will drop their heads, lick and chew and go to sleep. They become restless when they have had enough. I often use it on injured birds and animals, along with rescue remedy to help with the shock.

I paid a lot of money for my attunements 10 years ago but there are now loads of sites on the internet that offer free distance attunements, these are just as good as a physical one and I would recommend everyone to have a look into it so that you can treat yourself and your animals. Some animals won't accept it and if they don't then it won't work, I always ask their permission before I work on them and can usually tell whether or not they will accept the treatment. I also never charge due to my personal views so only work very locally although it can be done by distance.

Hope that helps but their is load of information about it on the internet if you need to know more.

Ditto HCH, I haven't seen any free distance attunements on the internet though but I know there are some which are supposed to be very good. Personally, I don't think I would have liked to have received my attunements like that. I had mine from a reiki master who is also my mentor and it was all very enjoyable and personal, not to mention quite emotional. I don't think I would have had the same experience with distance attunements.

I've got my Reiki 1 and will hopefully get my 2 soon. I had a practitioner come to B not long after I had her because there was so much wrong with her and there was a difference afterwards. It doesn't work with all horses though.
