does anyone know where I can buy the new Rein bow reins that helps you stop losing your contact. I have seen them being used by lots of kids at Pony Club. I have also seen them being used in BSJA classes.

LOL sorry I was expecting some sort of new innovative design not mutli coloured rubber!

We were never allowed that sort of thing as kids, we were taught to actually feel how short you needed you reins, you can't just pick a colour and stick with it 'My pony jumps on a blue rein' no matter how big the jump is, how lively he feels, how strong he pulls etc crazy

IMO same with tape on reins, it just doesn't make sense, they are living beings not cars!

Ooooh they are more fancy! Not sure I approve or would like to ride my horse at a set length but I can see more top riders using them than the 'rainbow' reins

But back to the rainbow reins... I saw them somewhere the other day and thought they were just a snazzy pattern! I had no idea they are for judging how long you should be holding your reins!

I never knew there was such a thing!

Reins with handles?

I sincerely hope that they are NOT allowed in Pony Club rallies, I can just imagine what our Instructors would have to say about that.

Now the coloured rubber reins, just a bit of fun, kids like them, if they help them get the hang of things, absolutely no harm at all, no worse than a bit of bling or pink sparkley boots.

The rein handles though, plenty to say about that idea, but won't, because presumably there is more to them than meets the eye. (Been back and looked again, No, there doesn't seem to be)

But... Kids? Hands in loops?
