Wargh! I am extra happy today - *finally* got hold of the vet who treated my boy for his lameness earlier this year to ask about next steps etc - we have the OK to start jumping! I am so excited and happy because i really thought we would never jump again.
I rather cheekily let him canter over a few poles the other day and he absoloutely LOVED it! he was so excited and happy to see poles again.
But does anyone else have any advice for reintroducting jumping proper? He will pretty much jump anything, fillers, etc as long as youre committed - if youre not, hes not and will pull out a dirty stop!
i was planning on doing some more canter poles perhaps once a week...then set up a small x... how long should i jump for and how high? Before he was ill we were jumping 2.6/2.9 out and 3ft at home.
