Is it worth it? horse came with poor feet - typical TB type flat feet with cracks and long toes. current farrier doesn't seem to be changing them much ( ie he trims them but hasn't really got them into better shape -not had problems with this farrier before but i think this horses feet may be too much for him) would it be worth taking horse to remedial farriery clinic and then starting again ?

yes.!!
i cannot stress how important it is for any horses feet to be shod correctly. and it doesn't sound like your boy is.! having a TB with crappy feet myself, i understand how hard it is but i have a fantastic farrier who has done an amazing job with Andy's feet.!!

Thanks

dont want to offend my farrier but if it is worth it then got to do whats right for the horse ....

Echo what AandK said. I also have a TB with awful feet. If you want them to stay sound then shoeing is key. Leaving feet long and flat causes excessive strain on ligaments and tendons, it's just not worth the risk.
