Been reading a lot of posts lately about horses that have passed away. I've been thinking about my Taz more this week for some reason. So wanted to start this thread so we could all remember the friends we've lost. Always in my heart Tazzy 

I do know what you mean, they always make me think about the wonderfull horses that I have lost, so here is to my three special friends that will never be forgotten or replaced and remain in my heart forever.

My dearest boys, Chocky, Gurkha and Midnight, one day we will all meet again x x

Thankyou for this post I join you all in taking a moment to remember our departed friends.

I only lost my boy on Friday night - mine is one of the threads. The support I received from here, via PMs and just reading the comments that people left was amazing and really helpful and it's helping me come to terms with it. There are some lovely people on this forum.
I'll never forget Rebel, but all our friends are at Rainbow Bridge together with no pain, waiting for us.

Will be a month this coming Monday that I lost my wonderful Spotty pony to colic, I did a thread in the Hunting forum as that is what she loved! She taught me soo much and was the first pony bought for me, am so greatful for the 9.5 years that I owned her for. She really was a pony in a million to be and other people who had the pleasure (and sometimes displeasure) off riding her. RIP Classic Ace, my lovely spotty pony xxx

I lost my lovely mare Holly on Dec 7th 2005 due to a broken leg in the field. She was a fantastic mare who got me back into riding after a 22yr break, looked after me and I learned such a lot from her. She was a star and I will never forget her xx

I only lost my Bob last Thursday. He was my first horse and waited 39 years for him which made him extra special. Only had just over 2 years together. Didnt really do much in the last year due to his illness but the first year was the best ever. Never thought id canter in an open space but he gave me the confidence to gallop. (Albeit with my eyes closed, mouth open and holding on for dear life).

Never forget my special boy x

lost Roscoe 25th May this year the day before my last AS exam. he was the most amazing horse in the world, an exracer with the heart of a lion, went before his time but at least i can remember the transformation that took place in the year we had him from a hat rack to a happy healthy horse he is missed by all who knew him every day and my saving grace through my parents divorce.

Frizbee 11.2hh 13yr old sec A. Pts 9yrs ago due to chronic copd. Miss her like crazy. Taught my daughter everything & even after losing an eye to a tumour she would do everything you asked of her. Found some old videos of her yesterday - brought back some lovely memories.

I lost my old boy 2weeks tomorrow. It was a hard decision but i am glad he hasnt had to suffer this terrible weather we have had since. It still doesnt feel real and i still cry over stupid things.
I will take a moment and remember all our old friends...running pain free free in the clouds.
R.I.P sax and hope you are with all your friends and all these lovely peoples dear friends. Love you always, see you again one day xx

Little Dusty, best pony ever, died aged 39. I thought you were so quiet and reserved and sad when I first met you...little did I realise what a cheeky, naughty little monkey you were! Don't go thinking that just cos i've got another naughty beasty now that I don't miss you every day.

Benson, my beloved loan horse was tragically killed in Feb 2010. He was my life.
And Charlie, who we only had a few months, was put to sleep a few weeks later from his injuries. It just wasnt meant to be.

Run free my boys, you will never be forgotton. xx

Buttons - will be 2 years on 7th December since we said goodbye, after 25 wonderful years together, such a wonderful horse, one in a million, still cry when I think about him.

Betty - my beloved horse of a lifetime, pts June 2008 (chestnut in sig) after a long lameness - still miss her, and will never forget her.

My loan mare arab x , silverwings jewel , had her for about 10 yrs before she was retired and was only PTS last nov at the grand old age of 34 , we did a few local shows together and she could always be a right little monkey but i shall never forget her , she taught me sooo much..

Starla, my horse of a life time. Hit her head in the field, fractured her skull and had to be PTS on the 25th November 2010. Miss you every day la la, hope you're having fun up on that bridge xx

Warm light coming from far below
twinkling sparkling is the candle's glow
all is well up on the ridge
the place we know as Rainbow Bridge.

horses sleeping in heaven's light
tended by candles in the night
peaceful dreams be theirs to keep
as they slumber in this night so deep

Hearts on earth that miss them so
take comfort in the candle's glow
watching for them in skies above
bound eternally by a cord of love

14 weeks and 4 days since I very suddenly lost Sadie, my best friend of nearly 20 years :(

She was one in a million with the biggest, most kindest heart I have ever known. From a young teenager to the women I am today, she was always there. Life is so very hard without her :(

Love you Sadie May, I always did and I always will.

Rest easy sweet girl till we meet again.

Sadiemay.

ps. Such a touching thread, I will light a candle tonight for all our dearly loved but departed friends.

Yes, a very touching thread.
Remembering BOB (Merry Measure) who went to sleep 29th May this year, aged 29. Missing you terribly still, and will love you always xx
And also JUNO, left me 37 years ago, in November aged 17, still shed a tear when I think of you my darling girl.xx
And last but not least dear RUSSET,my beautiful bay mare, who left me 25 years ago, like the others I still love and miss you xx
No matter how long ago they went, it still hurts when I think of them, though Bob is still particularly raw.
Love you all. Run free together at Rainbow Bridge. A candle burns for each of you at Hoofbeats In Heaven.
Thinking of all the lost horses and ponies belonging to everyone xxx

My lovely cheeky boy Sonador who was PTS in February 2009.
He used to be a grumpy show jumper famous for his unstoppable napping and rearing. He then came to us when he was 14 years old and surprised everyone by proving that old dogs can indeed be taught new tricks by becoming a champion dressage diva. He is part of who we are now and will never be forgotten.

It's been 10 days since I had to say goodbye to my beautiful lad, due to severe arthritis he had to be PTS aged 10. He was the most beautiful horse and i will never forget him and it broke my heart to let him go. Am now bracing myself for the return of his ashes.
