It feels like a lot of us have lost horses or pets this year. At this time of year I’m sure we’re all thinking of them.

We’ve all been so lucky to have had our special beasties in our lives and I would love to see pictures or hear stories of those who have flown over the rainbow this year if you’d like to share them ?

Here is Flo and Titten. Both enjoyed warm sunny days and left me with the best memories ❤️

The OG Arkle Pig, who we lost in February this year. He was the best pig we've ever had. Fiercely protective of his sisters and a cuddle bug. He was in an awful state when he came into the rescue but you'd never have known by how confident he became.

Died of old age in his bed with the girls beside him ❤️

Missing him dreadfully - my FB feed seems to be full of reminders from previous years about now. Hope you have loads of snow to play in my beautiful boy, carrots to scoff and treat balls to destroy ? Much love to everyone whose beloved animals crossed the rainbow bridge this year xxIMG_20220906_073304657_HDR.jpg

Our beautiful Jack. He was only ‘ours’ for 18 months, but we’d known him for five years. Grumpy, irascible and morbidly obese when he came to live with us, he left a massive hole when he was taken from us too soon with bone cancer. I was more upset than I expected when we lost him. Despite his foibles he was a really great dog ??

I lost Homey on 29 July due to very rare syndrome which caused a gastric impaction. They cleared it in the hospital but within 5 weeks it had returned when he was rescoped food could be seen in his oesophagus despite being starved overnight and having been on a special diet. Heart breaking but I let him go before he had another colic attack and had extreme pain or his stomach ruptured. I am still grieving.

He was only 20 and I had had him 15 years.

I'm so sorry to all that have also lost pets this year, from small Hamsters, to quite large horses.

As many of you know, my Jonna died earlier this year:

And 7 weeks later, her daughter Beata:

I'm so grateful for the years I got together with them, and I'm so grateful that I still have Beata's sister Blomma, now 14,5 years old. But I miss them so much.
Not sure this makes any sense to anyone, but I also have to admit that it occasionally feels odd that it's Blomma that is left. Ever since she got her Diabetes Insipidus diagnosis in September 2020, I unconsciously sort of started presuming that Jonna, and Blomma would die first, and one day it would be just me, and Beata left. But instead, here I am, with Blomma.

It is strange how this happens, I lost a ten year old horse then a six year old pony and still have the 30 year old.

I miss my beloved Grippet (greyhound x whippet) who I rescued from being drowned in a bucket by her owners who didn't want to pay for her to go into kennels whilst they were on a week's holiday.
She was a fabulous dog who was loved by all who met her.
I had her for ten years, before she had to be pts due to her back legs failing.
I hope that she's still doing her mad zoomies in Dog Heaven.

I lost my beloved Lottie, 6 weeks short of her 14th birthday.
Apart from my parents, she has lived with me longer than anyone else, human or animal?
She stopped me being a pedigree dog snob, and I was indecisive for weeks about getting a Labradoodle. She was still available at 12 weeks old as people wanted the fluffier, non-black puppies. Their loss was my gain?
My phone won't let me upload a photo, but she was big, black, shaggy and beautiful?

He is gorgeous. In fact all the departed pets on this thread are. We are so lucky to share our life with them. But it’s heart breaking when they leave us.

Love this man to pieces, my heart aches for him, everyday my last link to his mum. He is back in his stable he was born in (his mums) so I know he is nearby.:'(

Picture taken on his birthday 3. 6. 22

From the age i first saw the scan at 28 days till his rainbow day - my hear aches and still grieving for him and my mum. Took a lot of thought and tears posting here never posted his picture here.
