removal wolf teeth

my mare had troublesome wolf teeth removed shortly after she was backed and vet told us she'd need week off, HOWEVER, hers was a pretty full on op (not for feint hearted) and wasn't very straight forward

I have just found out that my mare had big op and was off for 3 months .Loaner thought her jaw was broken wolf teeth extracted and caps(dont know what that means). We had trouble with her evading bit for first 4 months .It all makes sense now.Ill get in contact with previous owner .Did yours need jaw broken

She had 3 months off caps and broken jaw from what I have heard .Shes seen dentist twice so he would have picked up any ongoing problems but im shocked they didnt tell me when I bought her.

yes part of it, due her conformation in jaw and mouth. but i had fantastic ongoing support from vet and EDT, she had 2 and bit months off on the end, although if it was straight forward she'd only have needed about a week. i found the whole thing pretty trumatic, and so did she. she has a million and one other issues but she's always been funny bout taking a contact and i put it down to this, i may be wrong but thats my feeling

Its took me months to build trust up for contact as well .It makes sense if thats what happened. She went like a giraffe originally any contact made her go faster so probably pain related she also changed shape and had back pain which all concurred to make her worse. Finally I have a settled happy horse but its took months of work.
Ill try and find out more maybe vet will tell me.
