I have a connemara with a very thick coat, who has a blanket clip. By the time the first show comes around he still has alot of hair and a very visible line. What does everyone use, apart from good old elbow grease, to efficiently remove hair?

Well I use a metal curry comb on my lad and that is great...but my lad likes to be scratched with it so is fine but it might be a bit much for some horses!

Those black or grey pumice-looking blocks are great for removing loose hair, I can't remember what they are called but I know Lincoln do one and they're like 90p

I bought a comb that is meant for dogs, I think Ostler make one as well, it is a handle with a loop of metal cut with small teeth, you run this over the coat and it removes all the loose hair. Although my welsh mare still has a very obvious line too.

i've got this metal thing that shaped like a light bulb that scrapes the hair out, sorry don't know what it called

I use a rubber curry comb as my boys very thin skinned!! Then run a flick brush over him to get the loose hair and dust off!
