Hello, I wonder if any Kent based folk might have an idea about how much it costs to have a small muck heap removed? I have never been in a position where I've had to organise removal of muck before - always found a 'home' for it. But I need to get cleared approx 35 cubic metres of what is pretty much pure poo with some aubiose mixed in. I can ring commercial waste removal companies but is there any other way of getting rid of it? Local allotments prefer cow muck apparently. Ideas very welcome. We are based near Tunbridge Wells. Cheers.

I'm not in Kent, but we get one of the local farmer to come up & take the muck heap away. I won't go into costs because it will be different in Kent & also with the amount to move. Give a few farmers a call & see what they say.

i would put up a load of signs at the local shops, allotments, library etc with free to collector and your details for contact you will be surprised how many people if you post it in the local newspaper freeads or on ebay will come and collect it , my sister made a very good contact with her clients and they now come and collect it once a month especially the organic society who grow their own veg etc

Muck Collection Service

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Disposing of muck heaps has become more difficult with many farms not willing to continue taking horse manure due to the legislation stating that waste transfer notices must be provided.

White Horse can dispose of your muck heaps efficient and legally. We offer large walk-in trailers, rubbish skip size containers or a regular collection using a grab lorry.

Please ring Mark on 07791 093097 for further details. do no if this will help these are in kent

Thanks for the suggestions folks. Appreciate the help. We are trying local farmer and I'll also ring White Horse. Unfortunately the horses are at a private house (not mine) and the heap has to go in one lot, can't dispose of it to gardeners wanting a few bags. Thanks again.
