Removing Stitches?

No need to sedate as sutures are very quick and easy to remove. If we have an animal that we know would be difficult to remove them ,then we would generally use internal sutures and glue or dissolvable sutures. Hope that helps.

naw, most dogs are pretty good to have their sutures removed - though many vets nowadays use dissolving sutures just to make it so you'd not have to.

Even the poofy Hoover greyhound didnt notice the vet taking his stitches out after his castration and he is the worlds biggest wimp :)

As above...and you will notice the dog is significantly better after they are removed as the skin is no longer being pulled taut. I speak from experience, having recently had seven stitches removed from my scalp..afterwards the relief was immense and I wasn't aware at the time how much they were pulling.
