Can anyone tell me anything about them - good, bad or ugly?

I may be going to see a 1995 7.5t Renault this weekend.

My horsebox mechanic advised a Leyland DAF would be the best, but wondering if anyone has any experience of renaults?

I know someone who was going to buy a Renault Theault horsebox a year or two ago. They rung up various insurance companies to see how much insurance would cost and it was very expensive, so they stuck to towing a trailer instead and didn't buy it.

I've had a Renault Dodge Commando 7.5ton and loved it! It had a Perkins engine (apparently one of the best types) and was mega mega reliable. The body eventually fell apart and I now have a Leyland Daf which is great too, brilliant light steering and excellent turning circle. So I can recommend both!
