Hi
My friend is looking to rent a house in Crewe (Cheshire) or the surrounding areas but she's struggling to find anywhere that accepts dogs.
If anyone knows of anything to rent in this area that accepts animals please PM me.
Why do so many landlords not allow animals even when they are well behaved with responsible owners?
She's currently living in the back part of the YO house (in the west wing!!!) but she needs space of her own.

Hi Wendy,
I manage a few rented houses in Lancs and all but 1 of my landlords now allow pets but with conditions attached.
Each new tenant must supply a reference for the animals - eg. they have lived in a house and left no damage / smells / fleas ect.
They also pay an extra £100 deposit per animal to cover and repairs associated with the pet.
Even landlords that were not previously allowing pets found this a good compromise.
I did however see a house a few yeras ago that had damage to every door in the ground floor sevearly scratched, the carpet was full of stains and smelled like you would not belive and the house cost just short of £500 to get rid of the fleas!! They were even in the electrical sockets!
It is hard but not impossible, after all there are only bad pet owners the pets only know what we teach them.
Whishing your friend luck.
Teresa
PS..... I now officially hate royal mail!!
