Repairing Stitched Wound to Show Condition

Hi, just continuing my question from New Lounge - horse cut pastern flesh in a clean downward 'V'. Vet put six stiches in. Four days box rest bandaged, now turned out as lives out and actually calmer. Bandage off, wound healing - just now how can I prevent a scar/proud flesh so he can be shown?
