Daughter has a pair of expensive 'Parlanti' long riding boots & one of the zips is broken & needs replacing. Does anyone know a specialist boot repairer that can replace the zip & do a rally good job? I don't want to go to somewhere like 'Timpsons' because they even cock up re soling boots so don't want them abywhere near these boots. I don't care where in the country I have to send them to. Any information on someone with the skills I need would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I had the same problem with a pair of my daughter's boots. Luckily I was able to track down an old fashioned cobbler who fixed them (basically for peanuts). The local press adverts/yellow pages may be of help. You could also try a saddler/rug repairer who will have the right equipment for leather and understand expensive riding gear. Sorry I don't have any suggestions of actual people, but if I find that the old guy that fixed my daughter's boots is still around I will let you know.
