Replacing horsebox ramp springs/struts

I'm not sure of the right terminology, sorry.

The ramp won't stay down, it pings back up unless weighted down by something. The arms(?) Aren't adjustable in any way.

Any ideas on what I replace them with and more importantly cost please? Have a mechanic to change them but he's suggested I source the parts to keep costs down.

You can buy replacement springs/struts. I've been looking at trailers not wagons, but think they were about a £100. I'd ring one of the big trailer parts suppliers, I tend to use trailer tec, and ask them what part you need. I find them incredibly helpful.
