I have been lucky enough to be offered a haygain box to use this winter after a friend lost her horse, she doesn’t want to sell it incase she decides to get another so in the meantime it may as well be used.
The actual steam unit is broken though, unsure what the issue is. I don’t really want to shell out for a brand new branded one as it’s not my steamer and they are pretty expensive.
So wondered about a wall paper steamer? Not the £30 from Argos type, I know that won’t be up to the job but if I get a decent one?
Anyone replaced theirs successfully?
Possibly more trouble than it’s worth but the thought of a winter free of frozen soggy hay nets sounds amazing!

I think you're going to have a problem finding anything with a 3.5l tank .
How long do you need to steam for?

Which model of steamer does Haygain supply as original with the unit that your friend will lend you? That'll give you the volume and the wattage that you need.
I *think 3.5 but maybe I could contact them and run it past them. The eBay one is a great buy if it is big enough.

The other thing is I won’t be steaming a bale but loose nets so may not take as much steaming.

Haygain were really helpful when our broke.. managed to diagnose an element gone over the phone and sent the parts fairly reasonably. Might be worth contacting them
