Took both of mine to work to use their school. Did Gyp first, lunged him to take the edge off and because the old broodmare led her babies in a calvary charge round the field next door at the sight of my coloured blob. Then hopped on, he was fab! We tempted some trotting poles. at first he was really looking at them and sort of leaping them, then he realised they weren't going to eat him and trotted nicely over them, admittedly with a much higher leg action.
We then worked on me, getting me to sit up and bend my elbows something I am very bad at doing on him. Got alot better. He was a rather sweaty boy at the end. Bless him.

Then Hattie. Decided to ride her in her show bridle as I don't want her to think she is jumping every time she goes there and I want to start schooling her again for the showing season. Well the first 10 mins we charged around pulling, leaning and tanking as she thought she was jumping. Then the next 20 mins we spend either working round but not using the back end and motorbiking corners or doing nice corners but with our head in the air! After sticking a block in each corner so she had to bend round them she did improve slightly so we called it a day as I was knackered by then.
Not bad really as she hasn't be schooled since September.
