5:30am start to Saturday for our 1st Hound Exercise
We went on 1 hunt last year and now (touchwood) we seem to have the loading sorted (about 5 minute to leave and 2 to load him back up after) I'm hoping to do a lot more this season.
Z was VERY excited and despite a few kangaroo canters, bucks and pludges when we got grass under our feet
(earning me a few 'well sat' comments- thank goodness for neck straps!
) he was really well behaved and I think he grew up a lot too.
It was also a fitness test with a Team Chase coming up soon and he came home as fresh as a daisy.
Bacon roll and Bucks Fizz then home to swap Z for Ruby to take the girls mini show jumping 2 double clears and a 4th and 5th!
Although only tiny cross poles this is the biggest course my 5 year has done and she was very worried to start but brimming with confidence after. 7 year old off lead rein is really getting the hang of the jumping and steering now and although placed slower than her sister (due the rapidly seizing up mummy cutting corners in the JO
) she rode all her lines and even jumping the final line in canter so she's feeling very grown up!
Very proud and achy Mummy, lead rein jumping was not my freind after the exercise! Today has been very OUCHY!

Photo bucket won't let me upload copy the photos for the picture link so I'll try tomorrow....
Thank you for looking
