Reproof Riding coat

I have a loverly purple short riding coat which has been through the wash a few times and yesterday when it rained I discovered it was about as waterproof as a T-bag.

Suggestions please especially if inexpensive.

cover it with rug proofer, thats what i do to my coats and works brilliantly

I buy the NIKWAX wash and then re-proofer. You have to do two washes though in your machine. The first one to clean and then the second to re-proof. You can do 3 items together though.
