Reputable horse transporters in West Somerset - Taunton area

Good evening!

Does anyone have any recommendations for a good, safe and kind horse transporter (who's relatively inexpensive!) to take my three boys on little jollies from time to time?

They're stabled just outside Wellington, Somerset and pretty good to load etc.

Also, how much (roughly) do they charge per mile, do they wait with the lorry etc. ?

I'm not planning on going miles - Taunton is about it, apart from the beach in feb!!!

Alan Walters does a lot of racehorse transporting and is used by trainers in the area so I would think is reliable.
He has arranged transport for me in the past, he is good at getting shared loads so mine did not travel in his lorries but he did organise things.

I have used Alan Walters twice and his guys are very good and professional. Dealt calmly with a difficult loader who towed me off down the drive and transported my current two who were nervous as anything here without a bead of sweat.

Wouldn't describe him as cheap though but very good.

I have used Alan Walter to move a 4 year old who had not boxed since coming over from Holland as a foal. The driver assisted in loading,then drove 50+ miles to my yard. Positive and professional. And they did work it into their schedule to keep costs down.

Thanks for the feedback - I only need to go 10 miles and back so cost shouldn't be astronomical but always good to know
