'Requisite' Rugs

Hi everyone,

Robinsons have got 20% off all of their 'requisite' stuff and there is a couple of heavy weight stable rugs which seem a bargain, i just want to get a cheap one and at £25 i cant really lose!

But....my boy takes either 6'6 or 6'9, his lightweight turnout is 6'6 and is big but his heavyweight turnout is 6'9 and i would say about the same size so i am not sure what size to get.

Does anyone have any of the requisite rugs? Does anyone know how the sizing comes up? What would you get? I know i could change it but it would just be a hassel!

My boy is usually a 6'9, but he has a 7'0 requisite rug and it fits him nicely. Have found it to be a fairly decent rug too.

Buy slightly bigger if in doubt. How big is your boy ? I have a 16.2hh and a 16.3hh. They both have a mixture of 6'6" and 6'9" rugs lol!

Well, 6'9" won't drown him, but a 6'6" would probably do too

lol i was thinking exactly the same as you, hence why i posted, im confused

think ill prob go for the 6'9, doesnt matter if it is a tad big, better than being snug or not quite big enough!

i'd go for the 6'9" but make sure its deep enough in the barrel

i have a 17hh warmblood & his summer rug is a 7'0 requisite - but it isn;t quite deep enough in the barrel - ok for summer but wouldn;t be too confident with a winter one !!

Go for the bigger one.

I got the cheap purple checked summer turnout and its fine, but we got a 6'3 and a 6'6 and I have to use the 6'6 though she's 6'3 in some others!

But they are not bad at all for the price!

I have a lightweight Requisite turnout out, bought 3 years ago in their sale. It has been a good rug, but they do come up a bit small. Its is a 6'3" and fits our chunky 15.2 well tho he normally is in a 6'.
