Hello, I need to get my girly a new stable rug and I am looking at the heavy weight requisite rug with a fixed neck (partly because it is £39). She is 6'6 in horseware Amigo and premier equine and 6'9 in weatherbeeta fleeces and Masta stable rug. How do requisite rugs fit In comparison?

My lad is a 6ft6 in his rambo/rhino wug and he has a 6ft6 requiste standard neck turnout it fits him pretty well in length but is a little big in the neck but then he is a fine built horse but long bodied. I would of thought in a full neck a 6ft6 would be fine if rug is on its own if to be used as an under rug i would go with 6ft3 so its not hankgin out tha back and getting wet.

I wouldnt waste another penny on one of them. I got a turnout rug off them because it was half price, think it was called a maverick. Its the worst rug i ever bought. Doesnt fit at all. Makes me angry when i think about how bad it is.

You get what you pay for with rugs. in my experience the fit on these rugs has not suited anything on our yard and they have moved and rubbed!

I recently bought Bentley this requisite stable rug - he'd wrecked four of his other rugs in the space of a month, so I was reluctant to spend a huge amount of money on a new one. His size varies between 6'3 and 6'6, I bought a 6'3 and it fits him pretty well. A (bad) picture of him wearing it is below. I have to say, I wasn't expecting it to be of the best quality, but it's actually much better then I thought it would be and I'm pleased with it!

I got Denny a turnout, its £39 but they do 'twitterug' on an occasional friday, so I got a 6ft3 for £20!!! Its a bit big round the shoulders, only because he is usually a 6ft, but its not rubbed, its still in one piece (hope it stays that way!!) And its kept him warm and dry so far. Going to buy another one as they're good value for money! Xx

I have a 5"6 one. And it fits my mare perfectly. Where as her masta one is too bloody short and makes her look silly in that size. So the expensive one looks naff!

I bought a couple of stable rugs from them a few years ago when we had to replace all our tack and rugs after a break in. They were fine on ours, and were used for a season and a half. (good middleweights with shoulders).. I thought they came up a bit short - I would buy 6'9 instead of 6'6 next time. They shrunk a bit when washed too.

They're huge in the neck so not suitable for anything fine. I find Mastas the same.

Swish rugs are cheap and decent fit, have a look at them...

I find Saxon and Shires fantastic value for money.

Requisite are good but nothing spectacular, when for the same price/slightly more, you can (in my opinion) get something of a better standard :)

I've had big problems with Requisites not fitting well, being far too short to cover the belly, and falling apart easily. I wouldn't buy another.

Axioms off eBay are really good value. Deep and robust.

I have used requisite rugs, I bought 5'9 and it fit perfectly, and lasted all winter! I still favour the gallop rugs, reasonably priced and very good value!!
