Rescue centres in France... anyone know of any?

I would like to find a pony to keep my pony company. As it is not to be a ridden pony I would really like to find a rescued pony who I could offer a happy home to.

However, not sure who to contact in France so any ideas would be great.

Sorry, have obviously not explained properly. I live in France, and really wanted some names of places ie. Redwings in England. Did not want any discussion so to speak on rights and wrongs, just would like to adopt a pony near me and wanted to some help from anyone who could point me in the right direction. Nothing sinister or pointing the finger, but simply because I live here and would know lots of charities in England but not over here.

I thought this would be the case - people obviously just assume you're in the UK i think!
I haven't got a clue bit would it maybe be worth contacting someone like Redwings who you've mentioned who may be able to give you some contacts of their counterparts in France or point you in the direction of someone who can?

That would be my suggestion anyway. Possibly email them as opposed to forking our for a phonecall though!!!

Where are you? That will narrow down your choice a bit. You can also try your local farmers they often have horses that will otherwise go to the knacker. Local vet or farrier is also an option.
