Hi Everyone,
I posted last week as my mum has rescued a little blonde retriever bitch, approx 18 months old.
She arrived home on Sunday, and what a sorry little sight she was, I was reduced to tears when I first saw her.
She was emaciated, and just cowering on the floor. But after just a couple of days and many many small meals she is doing fantastically well.
Our other dog has been looking after her, and she has already got a tiny tummy now it finally has food in it.
After much conversation re the name, we decided on calling her Bella which was a suggestion which came from this forum, she is a lovely gentle girl and will be stunning once back to full health.
She has had a vet check, and is a measly 14kg, too thin to even worm at this stage, but has had her first jab, and we have some treatment for her eat mites.
Thank you all for your suggestions on her name - will keep you posted with progress and try and get some pics on here (when my OH can help me with the PC)
Thanks
Gemsie
