we have two rescue greyhounds (storm -4 and Shadow-2)
we got Storm first and when he came to us he was clean in the house, but since we got Shadow they have both been making a mess in the house at night.

i was wondering if there is anyway we can stop them from making a mess in the house at night.

*they go for a walk about 9 ish nd let out in the garden before we go to bed.
but the thing is they don't ask you to let them out in the night. very good during the day.

Hey Cala, surely you know the answer to this?

If anyone does know the answer I would love to know - Flick is better now she is sleeping on the bed (i.e. no howling all night!) but I know that unless I get up and let her out as SOON as she gets off the bed then she will pee on the living room carpet - not in the kitchen where it is easy to clean up of course

I am wondering about crating her in my bedroom overnight so I know she cant do this, but suspect she will howl

None of the rescues I have ever had before has been like this - I know some of it was seperation anxiety at first, but she is so settled now

She also pees in the kitchen every day when I am at work

I had one once that did this for the first 2 weeks---lots of whining, and then pee/poo on the rug. It stopped when I encouraged him to hop on the bed...problem was, he took up about 3/4 of the bed!
