Trying to help someone get over the loss of a much loved cat. {They have another adult cat } Its early days at the moment but where would be likely places to get a rescue kitten? They are a very good home. Cat would have access to garden but would mostly be a house cat.

As above or there must be independent rescues near you/them. I can think of 4 reputable ones off the top of my head within easy driving distance of me, most with kittens even at this time of year, as well as separate branches of cats protection. Rather a sad thought actually.

Cats protection nationally but definitely worth looking into smaller, more local rescues as well.

Ideally you’d want the kitten to have had at least first vacc and to already be chipped to the rescue so they can provide lifetime backup / kitten can always be traced back to rescue.

If you give us an idea of vague area I’m sure someone will know some local places to try

hi i don't know where you are based but i have had all 5 of my cats from lynne at team cat rescue in birmngham, she is amazing and all my cats have had wonderful temperaments.. message me if you would like her contact details although you can type team cat rescue birmingham into google and it does come up. she has both young cats, kittens and older ones looking for homes

Please be careful. Other adult cat may not take to a strange cat rocking up - that is how I got The Hooligan cat. He was brought in as company for someone's adult cat, who promptly tried to kill him, and he had to be rehomed within a week. Do your relatives actually want another cat?
