In the video it looked like one rider leading two from horseback through deep water with a current nearly came a cropper when one or both of them panicked and took off.
3 foals suffering from salmonella were destroyed.
Horses were injured by barbed wire hidden under the water on what is a known flood plain.
Local resident horse lovers helped with food and rugs.
