Just in from rescuing 4 of our ponies.
Fed them at 8am, field a little wet. 2 hours later someone comes to door to say burns round the field have burst their banks & field flooded! Went along and found their field like this ! Got lorry & manged to get them out, past our knees in water. Now in dry field at home thank goodness. Poor girls

ive just had to do the same - except i got a call saying it was a torrent through my field and the way it was rising id have about 10 mins:eek: im at home alone with my 4 month old baby! Thankfully after some drama I managed to lead them through the flooding , the river was flowing over the road:eek: and Im SO proud of them following me as it was deep! Thank goodness also for kindly neighbour who took my baby !

so glad you got yours home safe ok x

AMW where are you? We are South Aberdeenshire/North Angus

Wow! Our beck has backed up twice in two weeks due to the addition of drains further upstream from a new bypass nearby, and its the worst i've ever seen it, but yours takes some beating!

lucky it was my day off work, it hasnt stopped raining and the flooding is quite bad round here so goodness knows how it would have been when I got home at normal time. The biggest burn was on the verge of bursting and it will add a lot more water if and when it does

its a small world :)
Apparently the field is now totally flooded and across the road :(
The OAP in the field is now in a cosy stable as she was really chittery and miserable, the 3 young mares are out in a dry field and none the worse although we were saving that field for more into the winter
