Thanks for that info JM07! Brill! But I don't see why that rescue was any less stirring because the horses were not privately owned? I'd have cheered if it was a herd of cattle or a flock of sheep rescued with such understanding of the animals psychology and such bravery on the part of the riders. And lets face it, if even 1 non-horse lover sees it and is moved enough to rethink things, then that in itself is worth celebrating. The longest journey starts with a tiny step. x

Although I think Ive seen this twice, It never fails to amaze me the courage of the ridden horses and riders, let alone the stray horses. Im sure, when the rides rode over, They were un aware of ditches and certain areas of deep water however im sure a few safety measures were taken. Whether theese horses were going to meat or not, they had just as much right as any other horses to be saved, despite their future.
