research for new web site

Hi all,

I was thinking the other day, while talking a friend through all the things she needed to arrange / buy for her first horse, that it would be a really good idea to have a website with all the information a new horse owner could need. Lots of information and links to sources of further information (such as the equestrian magazines). I was also thinking that it could include adverts to equestrian retailers, places to ride, etc.

Would the newbies on here have found this useful?

Sounds like a good idea! I'm not a total newbie myself, but I'm always looking to gather more knowledge to improve my skills. Thinking back a few years, I think a well-informed, clear website that has all the basic info I would need to get started would be fantastic.

I say go for it! Do your research and think back to what you would want to know as a first-timer so you have all the right info. You may also want to check rules and regulations on copyright etc just to be sure.

If I was a novice and about to become a first time horse owner then yes I would find it helpful
