Rocks needs to go back on a respiratory supplement as the poor lad is really struggling - very wet and wheezy breathing, pleghmy sort of breathing and gets out of breath very easily even though he is fit.
Nutritionist recommended 3 companies - hilton herbs, natural animal feeds and dodson&horrel. Has anyone tried these and have they had a good effect? Any others that could be recommended? Has to be herb based as hes allergic to barley, wheat and molasses.
Anyone?

Second D&H Easy Breathing, my cob is on it in the summer, and it is very good. She is the same as Rocky in that she gets out of breath very easily even though shes fit as you can get. I also put her on Garlic, as that seems to really help as well.

Put a post up a while ago about this and the most recommendations I got at the time were Ventilate (think is by Wynergy or something like that??) or Respirator by NAF. I tried by horse on something I found in my local tackshop called Easy Breath liquid, is by Carr and Day and Martin and believe is part of the feelgood range(?) is only £9.95 a bottle, lasts just under a month for my boy who is 16.2 and touch wood, no probs. Cheapest I found and seems to help but haven't tried the others as tried the cheapest first and was happy with it.

I'm a winergy ventil-ate fan too!! it's brilliant stuff and much cheaper than a vets bill!!

Also, you can get it a bit cheaper if you pick some up at their trade stands at Badminton and Burghley - I usually stock up twice a year.
