*How long is a piece of string question but*

Do they work?

I don't mean the full ventipulmin treatment just a little something, like NAF (respireze?)

we tried the global herbs one but in lquid form and i thought the results were good, well good enough to buy another bottle, i would advise to buy one in liquid form as it is (not sure of the word) but soluble, maybe not the word but scientific proof shows liquid is better. heop that helps

Ive been using NAF DTox for many years as a respiratory supp ( on the advise of NAF) and it does seem to work. Its very high in VitC which has been shown to be lacking in the lungs (this is basic explaination) of horses with compromised function.

NAF have since brought out Respiraze but Ive had such good results with the DTox that I havent swapped over. I have a feeling the respiraze is a little more expensive.

For horses with true pollen allergies I have used Gold Label Butterburr (Im not sure what they call it now). Butterbur has also been used with sucess in humans to tackle pollen problems.

Dodson & Horrell 'Breathe Free' is FAB, seriously! I put bloss on it a while ago and she stopped wheezing/coughing within a week. Shes now on something different which is to do with her pollen allergy tho.

However i started Archie on it about 2wks ago as our haylage isnt great at the moment and he was coughing (not lots, just a bit) hes now totally stopped coughing.

Thanks everyone, might give D tox a try first as feel he seems a bit under the weather too & wondered if it could be some sort of allergy. He is itchy too. Been through his coat & it's quite scurfy but definately no lice/mites. And where it is clipped it is gleaming.

WINERGY ventil-ate is brilliant! My vet reccomended it after a course of ventapulimin - its a pellet not a powder and is really effective
