do they work? should i give them a try,

my mare has had a bit of a cough..and by that i mean its not a heavy cough just like a little bit of a splutter and now and again a slightly runny nose, but that is normally after exercise. and she does sometimes sound slightly weezy with her breathing...just ever so slightly.
she has had it for a while on and off and i have been working her up for the eventing season and with a bit of work she seemed to clear it. it wasnt until the other week when i went and did a fair bit of fastwork..then i came home and she had a nosebleed and a mix of fulid out of her nose, so we decided to call the vet.
shes been on antibiotics and immune stimulant for the last week. they said she had a slight chect infection and could be slightly anaemic...she had 2 coughs yesterday morning and again this morning and doesnt seem to be any better although i think it is only with exercise i could tell for sure.
she is having soaked hay/.feed although 24hr turnout isnt really possibly at the moment.

we are going to ring the vets today but as it doesnt seem to be anythin too major would some kind of supplement do the trick do you think?
im hoping that if the weather stays like it is now and she can be turned out then hopefully she wil get rid of it?
we shall see what the vet says as well but if you have any opinions then i would be very grateful to hear them

I tried them all - my boy had bad COPD and after several lots of Ventipulmin popped him on Winergy Ventilate. Verrry expensive but worth it. He is turned out now so fine but when he was stabled this worked a treat. good luck x

Winergt Ventilate worked absolutely fab on my boy - he lives out now, but if he ever comes in I use it. It works out about £1 a day for average sized horse.

Ive used NAF Respirator in the past with really good effects. One of my boys is 18 and has suffered with COPD since ive had him and this really settled his breathing problems down. I have since weaned him off it, but i would definitely put him back on it if his symptoms came back.

Horslyx respiratory licks are fab, when he was kept in my boy had his to lick every morning for a hour and his coughing stopped.
