I was horrified today when my daughter jumped on her pony with no hat ! when challenged her reply was that 'Jessica Dimmock her young rider idol didnt ride with a hat' 'of course she does' I replied 'no she doesnt see' she thne proceeded to show me pictures on facebook from Barnsby Saddles with images of Jessica riding with no hat and whilst Barnsby had put a 'health warning on each picture' do they not realise that just the fact that they have published them sends the wrong message on safety to our young riders? Surely Jessica had plenty more pictures with her correctly 'dressed' to publish? Sponsored riders need to understand the image they portray . Rant over......

I agree, although it isn't just sponsored riders, but those who promote themselves as instructors with hatless pictures on their website that I think is totally wrong.

It is up to the individual of course what they choose to do, but when you set yourself up as a role model then you do have responsibilities to the younger, impressionable generation in my opinion.

I would also leave a comment.;)
