my YO's hubby asked me today if i wanted him to respray my tired looking trailer! All i have to do is rub the paintwork down (he is lending me his drill and wire brushes) and buy the paint. The trailer is aluminum so i want to know what paint i need to buy bearing in mind it will be going in a sprayer.

If the trailer is aluminium & you rub down parts to the bare metal you will need 'etch primer'. This will provide a 'key' to the aluminium & then the top coat will adhere to it. If you don't use that type of primer then your top coat will flake after a relatively short time. The top coat will need to be car paint, you can get it from a supplier along with the etch primer. The paint will be significantly higher priced than your normal house gloss.
