Hi all. I'm after some ideas or recommendations. I have a 15 yr old tb who has been on and off lame for 3 years now. He has navicular, KS and bone Spavins. He is now under the guidance of a trimmer but its still early days. We're coming into winter now (sooner than I like) and my tb is not a fan of being in the stable. He box walks and runs his teeth along the door etc. we do not have grazing in the winter and they go out on pea gravel paddocks so I was thinking of finding somewhere that does rest/retirement livery for the six months and then re evaluate the lameness after this. I have access to a large field in the summer so he can come home but I am worrying about the winter. Does anyone know anywhere that will take a 6 month rest or retirement livery? I am North Somerset but will consider surrounding areas Aslong as its not a huge trek as I would like to see him on a regular basis.
