Is this normal?

I've seen Frankie having a pee in the field recently and noticed that although he stretches his back legs out that one lack foot comes under as if he is resting it. Is this normal or indicative of a problem?

my horse has always done this (in the 2yrs i've had him) and i didn't think anything of it, but now he's been diagnosed with a stifle problem in that leg i'm wondering if the leg resting during peeing was a sign he's always had an underlying problem with that leg.

my frankie does it too, always the right one, he can get stiff in that leg in his bum muscle but I dont really think its related, had him 5 years and nothing has come up atm, at his age (17) I wonder if there perhaps was a problem and it became habit.

My ex racer used to cock his leg when he peed, always found it funny tbh. Then when he peed in the lorry he looked just in the right position. It wasnt until I found he had a back problem I beat my self up a bit as I could have maybe done somthing about it earlier perhaps?? I would prob say it might be worth gettiing a chiropractor out to have a run over his back perhaps?

My OH does it too. Best to draw a veil over the rest of that particular topic but I'd put your ned's odd habit under the heading of "Toilet Seats and Other Odd Male Habits". Apologies to any male forum members.

Thanks guys.

He's having some physio treatment at the mo for back and neck soreness and has had butt tightness in the past. Will keep an eye on it and speak to the physio too.
