There is a Viral Liver Infection at a yard very close to us, and unfortunately I rode out with one of the ponies there two days before I heard the news. I am going to supplement my pony's feed to help him fend off the infection, and help repair any potential damage done from riding with the infected pony.

I was going to feed him B Plus, by Horse health- until someone suggested Restore by Global herbs. Which do you think will be best- any vets on here?

Thanks!

I really rate Global Herbs stuff - although i have never used Restore i have had sucess with a few of their other products.

Well done for being pro-active - more people should be!!

I've used Restore for 10 years as my horse is on drugs which are supposed to wreck the liver - just had her blood tested and her liver is fine. On this occasion though, you might want to consider the Ragaid form Global Herbs. It contains milk thistle.

Try Vi-sorbin. I use restore when I change grazing in winter as a general pick me up dont think it helps greatly with infections.

So not Restore then? I've really got to decide between Vi- sorbin (don't know anything about), Ragaid (how would it help?) and B Plus. Anyone ever tried B plus?

Thanks, all help GREATLY appreciated- don't want my little man getting ill!

vi sorbin is good for livers anaenics and general pick me ups the only reason i say restore is it has a lot of herbs that will help the liver fuction better. ragaid is good but it is mainly used to help the liver detox the liver after you know or think your horse has eaten ragwort!
