Can you restore a suede seat once it's faded/rubbed?

I'm considering buying a second hand Ideal Jessica. It's a lovely comfortable saddle and fits my pony but it's just quite worn.

Any tips or advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

If it's bald and there's nothing left to "fluff" up (the nap) left then it's hard but not impossible. When there's some nap left it's easier and can be done with wire brushes and sandpaper to get the nap back up but, it does skim a layer off the hide and it will be thinner afterwards, you can only do it so many times.
Acrylic dyes can revive the colour afterwards.
Specialists may be able to revivie it via machines but best way would be to replace the seat for fresh suede if it's really worn or use a seat saver to cover it up, cheapest option!
