Restoring colour on a Suedette seat WOW saddle ?

I have a WOW saddle that could do with a little tlc in restoring the colour back in the suedette seat area, contacted WOW and they have advise to soak the suede with the effax and then use a hot air dryer to raise the temperature of the oil to add its absorption.

You need to repeat numerous times – without burning the leather and slowly you will rehydrate the leather and the colour should return.

Has anyone done this, did it work, or is there something else that you did that worked beter ??

Will that not cause the suede to lose its texture? Or can you use a wire brush afterwards to bring the suede back up?

Yes i forgot to mention it would then be brushed.
