Hello, I'm doing my first unaffiliated dressage completion in 10years (slightly nervous) anyway nerves aside I'm just about to enter and it says open rider or restricted rider.

Can someone explain the difference and which I should chose? It's all a bit a new to me now. Thank you

It will tell you somewhere what the restrictions are i.e. You can't enter if you have already won at that level. Open will be for the people who are outwith the restrictions.

Sounds like they are running on the old BD rules that had sections for Open and Restricted. That has now changed to Bronze Silver and Gold so you might need to contact the venue running the unaffiliated and ask them what they mean.

Good luck and welcome back to dressage.

Thank you very much, I have called them and I will be classes as restricted.
