A few weeks ago I was debating moving my 2 retired ponies (coloured and grey in my siggy) - well they moved on Sat to a lovely new home which is only half an hour away from me rather than well over an hour, and I'll be able to see them more often

. They are still out 24/7 but they will have access to a stable with an all weather turn out area attached when it gets vile so that will be good.
The move was quite stressful, loading was, ahem, interesting but they travelled very well but it was a 2 hour journey for them so whilst they happily munched their nets and gazed out of the window, I was stressed to the gills! They unloaded lovely and had a good old hooley round their new field, followed by an obligatory mud bath.
What really confused me was when I went to pick them up, Whisp was quite distressed and wouldn't be comforted which is very unusual for her - she's a very laid back girlie. This is when I got there before we did anything. Close eye being kept on her.
Went to see them this morning, they were both fine, just a little unsure, but very pleased to see me. They poddled in and had a proper meet with Jenny who is going to be looking after them. They were quite happy to have some fuss then go back out.
They need time to settle but are going to be just fine - Phew!!!!
Roast chicken, furry ginger snogs and pink wine for reading!
