Looking for the above for my gelding. Somewhere in the BA3 area would be ideal. He's a 30 min drive away at the moment, and I'd really like him closer to home as I visit every day. He's a healthy 21 year old, barefoot, well behaved and well mannered. Tragically, no longer rideable. Experts think he may have had a stroke. He's living out (always has) in a paddock on his own, but has close contact from other horses on the yard the other side of the fence. He copes extremely well with this set up. Before he fell ill a year ago, he was out with the rest of the herd, and was very happy and settled. He mixes with mares and geldings perfectly, and is never any trouble. Sadly, due to his "condition", he's now kept in isolation for his safety. His condition (which has improved hugely this past year) has left him uncoordinated and a bit wobbly behind. He's still capable of the occasional hooley, but for his own safety he was separated from the herd. I think he would be quite ok to live with very quiet companions, and this is the kind of thing I would like to find for him, as he's such a good horse in company. I live in Radstock, so am looking for somewhere as close as possible to try and get the travelling costs down a bit.
