What is the going rate for retirement/ youngstock livery in Scotland? And what does that price include?

Also, what would you expect to pay for retirement/ youngstock livery with morning turnout, muck out, 1 bale of shavings per week and hay included. No arena but on/ off road hacking available. Turnout would be 24/7 in summer and daytime during winter excluding exceptional weather.

I realise you are asking about Scotland but for comparison here in the Midlands its around £450/£460 a month for retirement livery for what you have outlined with a pair bond. Or if a horse is out 24/7 in a herd it is £175 a month. You have to take into account trimming/worming/vacs too.

My friend has hers on retirement livery (Scotland). She pays £180 a month. 24/7 turnout with hay as needed (stable available in emergencies at £4.50 a night). Lovely sheltered grazing with field shelters, with daily checks, rug changes and feed/medication (owner supplies this).
