I shall preface this by saying this was not my idea! My friend has been forcibly encouraged by her partner to take her TB to a local show to do the in hand class. My husband (being competitively!) Has actively encouraged me .... so here we are 😂😂

Turnout. I have a grey. Can I wear dark trousers and does he need a fancy browband?

I'm assuming she has light coloured trousers as hers is dark bay.

They're both about 17.2 so not pretty hack types .....

He is stunning, a lovely stamp of a horse! Maybe you will get the showing bug now. I would be tempted to put a nice coloured browband on him that that is only my personal taste. Did he race?
Thank you

He raced with reasonable success- won one and was placed several times

I chose not to do the coloured browband thing- it seemed extravagant for a one- off outing! Also, he's not a hack or riding horse, so i was turning him out as a hunter type? It's hard to tell there but he's 17.2 with quite a lot of bone!

I'm so not a showing person though .... it was local and sunny and I was home for lunch 🤣🤣

I'm not/ wasn't but it's great fun being able to go to some of the big shows. I've been to shows I never ever thought I'd get the opportunity to go to and even being able to go to the local county show is good fun. Once you've got the gear you're fairly sorted and can go and enjoy the outings.

I love seeing all the RoR's at the shows too, they are usually beautifully turned out and looking so well and so many of them go beautifully too.

Totally agree and you can always find the shows that have the racehorse class first thing so you’re home for lunch. 😁
